Need Opinions! I am looking to purchase a used Kubota tractor with a loader attachment. I currently have a B5100, which I love but am unable to get a loader for it. Which Kubota would anyone recommend. I do not want to go too much larger but would like power steering. I would like to get a newer version. Which tractor should I be looking for? Thanks

If you want small + loader + power steering you are looking straight at a BX! There are some good deals to be had on left-over BX1800s right now. I bet you could get the tractor and loader for 10 grand or less; and there are now some used BXs out there, maybe you can crack 10k if you get lucky. If you are looking to spend less money, you will have to give up on power steering. For about 7 grand or a little less you could get a B7100/7200 etc with loader which will have manual steering. ....

Thanks for the info. My only concern about the BX tractor is that is looks smaller than my B5100 tractor. I will be using it for driving through the woods and I am a little concern about the small tires. How does the B7100 or B6100 handle without power steering when using a loader? ....

I had a B6000 which is very similar to your 5100, and I agree that the BX models sit very low for 'woods' work. What is your budget? I never buy anything new, and I would recommend going with an older low hours kubota deere or ford/NH even if it doesnt have power steering. I have never had power steering, but I am sure it is nice.....but you can live without it for sure. It takes a little searching to find a nice clean used compact, but they are out there. ....

Thanks for the info! That is basically my only concern about the BX2200.. is the fact that I think it will ride too close to the ground and will cause problems when going through brush and being driven through woods. Does anyone know of a B7100 or B6100 that might be available in either Connecticut or Mass/RI.
Thanks ....

I have a mid 90's B7100 hst 4wd, with a woods loader, and Kubota 60" mmm. It has the aggressive tread turf tires on the rear, and regular turfs up front. 640 hours on it. The loader was put on brand new at 325 hours. I am selling this if your are interested. Most of its life it was stored indoors, but it has spent at least 6 months out under a tarp when not in use. I have a picture if you want to see it. I am located in NY. ....

I am willing to take any reasonable offer. I don't really know what to be asking for this tractor. I just got my new (used) one last monday, so I am looking to move the B7100. I am also willing to seperate the belly mower and trailer if they aren't needed.
